Fairtrade & Ethically Sourced Baskets & Chocolates

Come learn about our successes in 2017 implementing clean water in Ghana. Global Mamas items will be for sale as a way to support the cause. There will also be Ghanaian baskets, from the Fairtrade, ethically sourced, and artisan made Bolgatanga Basket Weavers, a nonprofit founded by women to empower women in the Upper East region of Ghana. We will also have Divine Chocolate available, the only 100% Fairtrade chocolate company co-owned by cocoa farmers.

Why should I make a donation to Water Access Now?

“Clean water, the essence of life and a birthright for everyone, must become available to all people now” – Jean-Michel Cousteau

You have many choices when deciding which charity to donate to, so what criteria can you use to narrow your search. Some key questions to ask:

. What’s the cost effectiveness of the program?

. Does the organization have transparency?

. Has the organization proven that it can be effective?

I believe Water Access Now can answer “Yes” to all of these questions. We have a 100% volunteer staff consisting of board members who have actually visited the areas we serve. As Treasurer, I can assure you that we are all dedicated to keeping our costs low. Our costs last year and so far this year have consisted of two expenditures; insurance coverage and credit card processing fees. Not many other organizations can make such a statement.

The U.S. poor are wealthy by developing-world standards, thus our focus is on the global poor. We consistently provide a sustainable clean source of water to villages in need. With your donations, we pledge to continue that mission.
